evo’s 3 Favorite Products of 2018
Our gear is sold in multiple shops and online retailers around the world. We love when customers love our gear, but there’s something pretty cool when people who hang around outerwear all day, every day as part of their job, love our gear.
When the folks at evo, one of the largest retailer of outdoor gear in the United States, reached out and wanted to pen a blog post for us about the three pieces from our line that they absolutely love, we said, “yes, please!”
Here’s what they love from our line, and what they have to say about it.
On any given day you can find members of the evo crew shredding deep powder in Japan, earning their turns in British Columbia, or taking night laps in our backyard here in Washington. We love getting out there, and we love gear that can keep us warm, dry, and protected while out in the mountains, and that’s why we’re big fans of Strafe Outerwear. From designing bibs for women unlike anyone else, to simple and functional pieces, Strafe’s lineup is great for skiers and snowboarders around the globe. Out of all of the pieces this year, we have three favorites, the women’s Scarlett Bibs, the Nomad Jacket, and the Incubator Jacket.
The Scarlett Bib – Rethinking Women’s Bibs
We love all bib pants, but for the lady shredders out there we especially love the Scarlett Bib. Many brands have taken the cue that women skiers and snowboarders want the same high-quality fit and materials available for men, but few have embraced female-specific design like Strafe has. The halter-style bibs allow the same benefits of regular overall style bibs, but when nature calls, they are much easier to handle. We like these bibs so much, we wrote a blog post about them.
The Nomad Jacket – High Tech & Stylish
With our headquarters in Seattle and two of our three stores located in the Pacific Northwest in Seattle and Portland, we’re northwest skiers that value waterproof jackets that keep you dry through the toughest of weather conditions: Enter the Nomad Jacket. The 3-Layer construction with an eVent membrane provides awesome protection from the wet snow and occasional rain. Meanwhile, the freeride fit is comfortable and good looking. We sell a lot of different ski and snowboard jackets, but the Strafe Nomad is one of the kings of the category.
The Incubator Jacket – Multi-purpose Goodness
We can’t all have a closet chock full of jackets for every conceivable weather condition, and that’s why the Incubator Jacket is a great piece to have. It works great on or off the mountain. For colder climates like Colorado and the East Coast, the Incubator goes well under a shell, and details like the chamois fleece lined collar are awesome to keep your chin chafe-free. Subtle styling will make it a go-to around town, too.
