Material (eVent) is very breathable, I do a lot of hiking and it's so much more pleasant than heavier materials; doesn't get clamy, less loud, and still waterproof enough for a full day in a storm. Long cut keeps you protected on the chairlift andnand thumb loops keep the shell sealed to your gloves. Pockets are numerous, large, and well thought out. Chest pockets are large enough for skins, heavy duty mittens, nalgenes/tallboys, anything you'd need to bring. Hood will cover a helmet but smal enough to not block peripheral vision. Cut is perfect, roomy without being overly baggy and in the way. Over 6 seasons and going strong. I would 100% buy this jacket again.
United StatesSuch a great jacket, I wanted to come back and give an update. Again, this jacket fits great (fairly relaxed, L, 5’11” 190lbs, big shoulders). My partner has worn this jacket on the rainiest PNW day I have seen and stayed drier than any of us. He’s always warm on the super windy days too. Pit zips and breathability are great. No signs of the bushwhacking we did touring the other weekend either! It’s making me jealous enough that I might have to get myself one too!
United StatesI wear this jacket almost every day in resort and on all my tours. Lots of great pocket space for skins, snacks, hats, water, etc.. Nice and breathable with vents for hiking and still super waterproof in powder conditions. Love the style and fit of this jacket
United StatesBeen using this Jacket for most of the Season now, and I'm always amazed with the way the pockets carry all my stuff without getting in the way. This is great for (if you're like me) and you dislike skiing or riding with a pack on the resort, you are still able to carry extra goggle lenses, sunglasses, hat, food, etc. I even was having issues with this my skins icing when touring and began skiing down with them in a well placed mesh pocket on the inside of the shell to keep them warm, and hardly noticed them while shredding. 10/10 all around shell.
United StatesI have been very satisfied with my Nomad the last few seasons. This jacket is so great for ski tours in the worst weather. It has great ventilation and breathability while also maintaining good waterproofing and warmth. I usually wear two thermals under the Nomad and feel very comfortable in most weather conditions. I also quite like the pocket layout.
