I wore the Cham Jacket and Pant combo for 2.5 months in Chamonix last season. From punching holes charging up Aiguille Du Chardonett in the sun, to wet storm riding at Grand Montets, I was dry and comfy in every condition, every day. Super light, mega breathable, athletic yet chill fit. Damn perfect for crushing in the mountains.

It is the perfect fit and fabric. It is super light and mega breathable, repels the wet spring snow, fits to move in the mountains and is comfortable and looks good.

These are beautiful pants. I tried on and purchased models from much larger competitors and returned them all for this. It has a best-in-class avy pocket and belt/waistband system. The mesh avy pocket is just about flawless in design and location. The material is great too. I was worried they’d be too cold in wind or too hot in warm conditions, but they have performed exceptionally well in every conceivable weather except for monsoon rains (haven’t worn them in a deluge, but have in a rainstorm–no problems). They breath better than any pant I’ve ever owned. I think because they breath so well, I can just wear a pair of capilene long underwear on warmer days (up to 40 F) and not worry about it. The vents and fabric keep the pants comfortable. We skinned in bright sun with temps in the very high 30s/low 40s and I didn’t even sweat. Pants held up against strong winds in white out conditions in teens (disclosure: haven’t worn them in single digit temps yet) and they were perfectly warm even on lift service days.
If it ever looks like Strafe will discontinue, I will buy another pair regardless of the state of my current pair.
One caveat: the gray shows dirt quickly, as you’d expect, and Grangers couldn’t get rid of some of the tougher stains. They look fine, just not ready for lunch in San Moritz.
Also, I weighed them on a digital scale and they are lighter than Arcteryx and Patagucci’s offerings (to be fair, both companies make gorgeous back country pants, but these are lighter. About 2 oz lighter than Pata’s Reconnaissance and lighter still than Arc’s touring pant.

I’ve backcountry ski guided in the Cham jacket for hundreds of days over the last three seasons. The Polartec NeoShell fabric holds up to the worst the Coast Mountains can throw at it (rain, snow, slush, high wind, you name it). The jacket also looks dang cool, and chicks dig it.

If you ski tour or hike when you ski, these are the best pants on the market and they just keep getting better. Enjoy.

I run hot. I also get cold. If you sweat when you ski, this is your jacket. This jacket is best in its class for both venting heat/moisture and protection from the elements. Great fit that’s not too tight and not too baggy.

For years I have been stuck upsizing jackets because the brands that build outerwear with proper technology for the touring are all climbing companies. The athletes at Strafe understand “SKI” fit; the added length in the arms and torso while not being overly baggy everwhere else is perfect.
The jacket weighs nothing and the face fabric is butter soft. I have two seasons sledding in Cooke City in mine and it has held up great. Thanks boys! Keep up the good work.

These pants are fast! They are lightweight, durable, and my legs feel so happy in them. Just the right amount of pockets and the vents are well placed. I love the fabric of these. Awesome for backcountry adventures where you are sweating, followed by ripping deep powder. Can’t wait to huck the Big Gobbler in them!

I’ve been using my Cham jacket for the past 3 seasons. It’s durable, lightweight and breathable- the best jacket I’ve ever purchased for ski touring and high alpine adventures. The fit of the jacket is perfect. I love the additional length and look forward to wearing this jacket for many years.

This was my pant of choice last spring in Alaska to climb and ski the three largest peaks in the Alaska Range. I literally lived in this these pants for 33 days of rain, snow, ice, extreme hot and cold, and vigorous exercise. The Polartec NeoShell fabric was comfortable and up to any condition/challenge I threw at it, cuff guards resisted ski edges and crampon snags, and the construction was excellent. I have never had a piece of equipment that has worked so well and held up to such severe abuse.
