Solid Layer

Super light and super warm. I run hot, so a light puffer like this is perfect. It definitely runs small (especially when compared to strafe outerwear). I wear a medium nomad and it’s comfortably roomy. I wear a large in the insulator and it’s a “fitted” fit.

Very warm for the weight

I loved that it was so light weight yet very warm. Only complaint it runs small. I'm an extra large in all ski clothes, I could use a 2x in this jacket.

Great Piece

This has become my new go to puffy for ski touring. As light as an ultralight down yet far more versatile as it’s Primaloft. Punches well above it’s weight in the warmth category too. Carried it in my running vest frequently in the fall too.

I have an incubator from last year that I love. I was hoping this would be a little warmer with the new NASA technology and better filled. This is pretty thinly filled and not very warm. Maybe the NASA thing is a tease. Also it fits tighter than my same size L incubator. Disappointing for the price and the buildup after an awesome incubator product.

Strafe Outerwear

Hey John, Thanks for sharing your feedback! We are so sorry that you're disappointed in this piece. While both the Aero Insulator and Incubator feature the best synthetic insulation available, the Aero is designed to be lighter and more minimalist than the Incubator. The Incubator is still a performance piece, but with a much greater insulation fill and therefore higher warmth rating. According to our records, we have accepted your return and refunded you.
