THE STORY BEHIND PRIMALOFT® P.U.R.E.™

With PrimaLoft® P.U.R.E.™ technology, we’ve transformed the manufacturing of synthetic insulation to drastically reduce the carbon emissions produced during the process. This is a first-of-its-kind disruption to traditional manufacturing methods.

With traditional manufacturing, hot ovens are required to "cook" the insulation to bond and stabilize the fibers. PrimaLoft® P.U.R.E.™ technology removes the need to use heat to bond insulation fibers. Instead, PrimaLoft®'s proprietary technology has been engineered specifically to bond and cure through exposure to air. The result is a sweeping reduction in carbon emissions.

Converting production of PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation to P.U.R.E.™ manufacturing technology results in:*

  • 48% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions
  • 348,111 LBs. of carbon dioxide reduction
  • 438,617 miles of carbon dioxide savings
  • enough to drive around the Earth 17.6 times

While the results will grow dramatically as its P.U.R.E.™. technology is expanded throughout PrimaLoft®’s footprint in future seasons, here is the environmental impact from one year of production with only one of PrimaLoft®’s insulation products*:

  • Up to 70% CO2 savings
  • Saving 231,075 kgs of CO2
  • Totaling 1,032,998 kilometers – enough to drive around the world 26 times
  • Or the equivalent of planting 10,613 trees
*Calculation based on single-year production of 100gsm PrimaLoft® Black Insulation. Calculations verified by independent third-party, SGS North America, Inc.

STRAFE'S INSULATION OF CHOICE: PRIMALOFT® P.U.R.E.™

Oh the benefits of insulated outerwear! Acting as a thermal-regulating barrier, insulated outerwear minimizes heat loss on cold days and moderates temperature on average days. Meaning you can be more comfortable in a wider range of temperatures with less layers and bulk.

We choose PrimaLoft® P.U.R.E.™ Insulation for our insulated outerwear because it offers the perfect blend of comfort, performance, and sustainability. Primaloft® fibers have a high-insulation value, are lightweight, and are extremely soft, providing synthetic durability and insulation performance with the comfortable, plush hand-feel of high-quality insulation.

Furthermore, as we take steps towards a more sustainable future, we are proud to partner with PrimaLoft®, offering a revolutionary synthetic insulation product that not only looks and feels good, but is better for the environment.
