With ultra-lightweight fabric inside and out plus space-age synthetic insulation tech, the AERO INSULATOR is the most technically advanced layering piece Strafe makes. Updated with horizontal baffling for more loft, the PrimaLoft® Gold insulation with Cross-Core™ infuses NASA-developed aerogel particles (composed of 95% air) into the fibers, providing an exceptional insulation barrier and warmth to weight ratio. This piece won’t wet out and packs up pocket-sized in your pack; and strategic pocket placements allow for easy access while wearing a pack or harness. No matter what adventure you're setting out on, don't even think about leaving the AERO INSULATOR behind.

I wear this insulator in nearly any condition in the Tetons. I wore it during my snowmaking season at Jackson Hole doing manual labor, it kept me warm without overheating. I ski resort with it under a Pyramid shell down to 10 degrees, or under a Conundrum insulated jacket below there and I stay comfortable all day. My favorite features are the zipper, and the stretchy hood that stays on in high winds.
My son is completely happy with his insulator. He wears it everywhere and is surprised by its lightness and warmth. Great product!!!!
Super light and super warm. I run hot, so a light puffer like this is perfect. It definitely runs small (especially when compared to strafe outerwear). I wear a medium nomad and it’s comfortably roomy. I wear a large in the insulator and it’s a “fitted” fit.
I loved that it was so light weight yet very warm. Only complaint it runs small. I'm an extra large in all ski clothes, I could use a 2x in this jacket.
This has become my new go to puffy for ski touring. As light as an ultralight down yet far more versatile as it’s Primaloft. Punches well above it’s weight in the warmth category too. Carried it in my running vest frequently in the fall too.
