With ultra-lightweight fabric inside and out plus space-age synthetic insulation tech, the AERO INSULATOR is the most technically advanced layering piece Strafe makes. The PrimaLoft® Gold insulation with Cross-Core™ infuses NASA-developed aerogel particles (composed of 95% air) into the fibers, providing an exceptional insulation barrier and warmth to weight ratio. This piece won’t wet out and packs up pocket-sized in your pack. Strategic pocket placements allow for easy access while wearing a pack or harness. No matter what adventure you're setting out on, don't even think about leaving the AERO INSULATOR behind.

I purchased the olive aero insulation and am so please with the style, fit, color and quality. This is my first Strafe purchase and I know that I'll definitely be returning. My experience with customer service was top notch too!
Love this jacket!! The light orange color and petalled interior are beautiful. The cut is well tailored for my figure and the fit is perfect for moving. The jacket is light weight and breathable and perfect for Spring days on the mountains. I did get a small nick in the jacket which I noticed after ~ my 3rd wear. I have no idea how it happened. I would rather not put duct tape on it. Any suggestions?
Hey Susan, thanks for the review! We're glad you love your aero insulator. For small tears like yours, we recommend using a small piece of tear-aid tape. If you need assistance, contact our warranty department at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Warm days, cold days, on the resort, at apres, around town, I have this layer on. It's small so fits nicely under my scarlet bib pants and keeps me nice and warm without being bulky. I wear this layer when I'm touring as well and if I need an extra layer on SUPER cold days I can put that over my bibs. I have the papaya colour which I think is a nice little pop of colour on and off the resort. I also like the inside liner pattern. The pockets are all really great! Two easy drop-in pockets on the inside one with a zip as well for keeping things safe. Then there are two zip pockets on the outside. One has a little mesh /elastic pocket on the inside of the right zip pocket to put your phone in, in case you forget to close your zipper which I think is extra awesome.
Thanks for the review, Meredith!
I love this jacket as it is so lightweight yet warm - great for layering. I wear it for running in 20-40F degree weather. I love the hood for walking and running as it fits! I also use the jacket for layering with a shell or a heavier jacket for colder weather. It’s so lightweight and warm that it has become one of my favorites. I have always been partial to down, but this jacket is lighter, easier to wash, faster to dry, “more flexible” in adjusting to one’s active life, and unexpectedly warm. Given the price, weight, and it’s flexibility in its use, I highly recommend it!s
Thanks for the review, Martha!
I got this jacket as a lightweight insulator to wear under my shell for skiing. I have to say it has performed above and beyond my expectations! I’ve always been partial to down, and this jacket has truly shifted my perspective. Not only is it light in physical weight, but packs down in my bag so much I can’t even tell it’s there. Not only is it warm, it’s really regulates my temperature, helping me stay warm when I’m cold, and the perfect temp on warmer days. Oh, and did I mention - it dries really quickly when wet from snow, rain or sweat?! I can’t recommend this jacket enough!
